Maria's Story
Living Independently With Cerebral Palsy
“Hi, I am Maria Dalmon. I was born with cerebral palsy. I am married. My husband, Lindsay and live in our own home.
I have been a client of All About Caring since 2019. I need assistance in my day to day life. All About Caring provides me with services to assist me to live my life as I wish. I require personal care services each morning to assist me with breakfast and to shower and dress and in the evening to prepare and cook my evening meal. Also, I need domestic duties in my home and help to do my weekly shopping.
I enjoy the support from my support workers each week during my social service to do many activities which I now find difficult to do on my own. My team of Support Workers are wonderful and very reliable. With the services I receive from All About Caring, I can remain living in my own home and relish life.”

Your Complex Care Questions Answered
All About Caring provides support to all levels of disability and injuries across Australia some of which include Acquired Brain Injury, Autism, Cognitive Impairment, Dementia, Intellectual disability, Mental Health/Psychiatric conditions, Physical Disability, Sensory Disability, Spinal Disability and Respiratory Management.
All About Caring has been providing specialist support for over 25 years. We maintain strong operational hubs, and our service delivery model is built around establishing a dedicated local team to support key regions. Ensuring we are experienced and physically present in your community.
We are highly selective and specialise in complex care. We believe in 'staying in our lane' to ensure consistent excellence. This includes clients with high clinical needs, neurological conditions (e.g., Brain Injury, Motor Neurone Disease), spinal cord injuries, and complex 24/supports. If we accept a client, you can be certain we have the deep expertise required.
Yes, absolute confidence in clinical safety is non-negotiable. We provide Specialist RN Oversight that collaborates directly with the client's clinical team. Our RNs focus on complex risk assessments, management of intensive supports (e.g., tracheostomy, PEG feeding), and preventative planning to help avoid unnecessary hospitalisation.
Services commence only after a safe and thorough onboarding process. We prioritise stability over speed. We will provide clear, realistic timeframes upfront, which depends on the clinical complexity and the custom recruitment required for the client's programme.
Yes, all of our staff are direct employees, eliminating reliance on agency backfill. All support workers meet the minimum Certificate III qualification, with additional specialised training tailored to complex care. Our teams are locally based to ensure reliable service continuity.
Staff complete a suite of modules prior to commencement. We ensure continuous professional development, training in intensive supports, and ongoing assessment of competency (including practical sign-offs by clinical teams) to guarantee safety and compliance.
Yes, compliance is paramount. All staff must successfully complete a Police Check, WWCC, and the NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencing any work with clients.
We implement a client-led recruitment process. We recruit specifically for the individual client's program, matching based on clinical need, personal preference, and cultural fit. The client is fully involved in the choice of their final care team, which includes reviewing profiles and meeting potential staff (either face-to-face or via a brief video introduction).
We believe in client choice. Please call your Programme Manager immediately to discuss. We will work with you to understand if further training is needed or if a replacement is required. Our priority is ensuring the team is the right fit for the client's needs and preferences.
We focus on investing in our teams through competitive conditions, career pathways, and a positive, supportive culture. We understand that low staff turnover is directly linked to client stability and continuity of care, and our retention strategies are designed to ensure long-term, familiar support.
The SIL Manager is responsible for overseeing all clinical scheduling and logistics. They manage the scheduling of all medical and specialist appointments, as well as travel coordination, ensuring the client's health needs are met reliably and efficiently.
We operate a clear, two-tier leadership model: Senior Operational Oversight (led by the SIL Manager) ensures overall quality and risk mitigation, while In-House Leadership (Senior Support Workers/Team Leaders) manages day-to-day operations and culture within the home.
We follow a rigorous collaborative matching protocol. We work closely with the SDA provider and the Support Coordinator to develop a thorough tenant matching profile. This is followed by profile sharing, house tours, and essential meet-and-greets to ensure sustainable and harmonious living arrangements for all tenants.
